Arpobot announced that it will soon launch BLOOMIN8 E-Ink Canvas on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. This is a smart picture frame that uses E Ink Spectra 6 color electronic paper technology . It supports wireless operation, long battery life , and can be integrated with smart homes. BLOOMIN8 makes digital art display more flexible. Users do not need to charge frequently and are not restricted by power cords. They can enjoy digital art for a long time like traditional paintings.
Color e-paper technology provides a viewing experience close to paper
BLOOMIN8 uses Spectra 6 color e-paper display technology . Different from the common Kaleido 3 in e-book readers, Spectra 6 provides higher color saturation and contrast, making the paintings present more delicate color levels. This picture frame has a glare-free, ultra-matte display effect , similar to the texture of traditional paper. BLOOMIN8 was developed by Arpobot , which successfully launched Smart Shade in 2023 and gained more than 600 supporters . The team said that they discovered the potential of Spectra 6 color e-paper in early 2024, and immediately began to develop wireless e-paper frames. After experiencing supply chain challenges, they finally ensured stable production and were ready to bring this product to market.
BLOOMIN8 will officially open crowdfunding on Kickstarter on March 19, 2025 , and the early bird price has not yet been announced.
