E-Ink new products: Meebook launches M8 and M8C e-book readers

Meebook just launched its new e-book readers M8 and M8C on December 2. These two devices target users with different needs. The M8 provides a high-performance black and white reading experience, while the M8C uses the latest Kaleido 3 color e-ink screen to bring richer visual effects.

The biggest highlight of the M8C is its 7.8-inch Kaleido 3 e-ink screen, which supports 300 PPI black and white resolution and 150 PPI color resolution, making it suitable for all types of digital content. The screen is equipped with a cold and warm dual-color temperature frontlight, and users can adjust the brightness according to the ambient light to achieve comfortable reading all day long. In addition, the screen supports personalized settings, allowing users to adjust the vividness, brightness and depth of colors.

Both devices are powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage space, and support microSD card expansion up to 1TB. M8C provides Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connections, suitable for efficient data transmission and use with external devices. In addition, the built-in 3200mAh battery supports up to several weeks of battery life, suitable for long-term reading or work needs.

The M8C comes standard with an electromagnetic pen that supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and is suitable for note-taking, sketching and document annotation. The device is also equipped with dual speakers and dual microphones to support multimedia playback and voice functions. Its thin and light design (193 x 140 x 7 mm, weight 300 grams) makes it portable for travel or daily use.

The initial selling price of the M8C is 1,999 yuan RMB, while the M8 is 1,399 yuan RMB. Interested readers can order from its self-operated store on JD.com/Taobao in China.
