Verse Pro is positioned in the high-end product line and is available in Azure and Passion Red. It is equipped with an E INK Carta HD electronic paper screen with a resolution of 1072×1448 and 300 PPI. Equipped with intelligent light adjustment function, it can be read day or night. Built-in dual-core (2 × 1GHz) processor, 512MB RAM and 16GB internal storage space. There are physical page-turning keys, USB-C connection port, audio output through USB, Wi-Fi and G-Sensor under the fuselage, and it has IPX8 waterproof rating. In addition, the product is equipped with a 1500 mAh battery, measures 108 × 156 × 7.6 mm, and weighs 186 grams.
The main function of Verse Pro this time is to support the text-to-speech function, which can convert any text file into a voice track and read it aloud in 26 languages. With just two clicks, the e-book can start to read the content aloud. In addition, it supports six mainstream audio formats. With the help of Bluetooth technology, the e-book can be easily connected to wireless headphones, which is very suitable for listening to audio books.
Verse uses the entry-level E INK Carta screen with a resolution of 1024×768 and 212 PPI. Its font definition is slightly lower than that of Verse Pro, and it is available in Bright Blue and Mist Gray. This model also has physical page-turning keys and Smartlight functions, a built-in dual-core (2 × 1 GHz) processor and 512MB RAM, is also equipped with a G-Sensor, and has the same battery capacity of 1500mAh. Although the internal storage space is only 8GB, it supports MicroSD expansion storage up to 128GB. The Verse measures 108 x 156 x 7.6 mm and weighs 182 grams, slightly lighter than the Pro.
PocketBook Verse and Verse Pro support direct reading of 25 book and graphics formats, including AZW, CBZ, DJVU, DOC, EPUB, FB2, PDF, TXT, JPEG and PNG, etc. Users no longer need to convert file formats. In addition, both of them maintain a major feature of Pocketbook ─ ─ support for Adobe DRM file files, bringing more convenience to users.
In terms of price, Verse is priced at $129.99, while Verse Pro is priced at $169.99 and is expected to be officially sold at a later time.
