iReader officially launched a new generation of e-book reader - Ocean4 Turbo 2025 in late March 2025, claiming to bring users a more excellent reading experience.
The most eye-catching upgrade of Ocean4 Turbo 2025 is that it uses a 7-inch E-Ink Carta 1300 electronic ink screen for the first time, with a resolution of 1680x1264 and 300PPI, providing a delicate and clear display effect. Compared with its predecessor, the Carta 1300 screen has improved contrast and refresh speed, further enhancing reading comfort.
In addition, Ocean4 Turbo 2025 uses a newly upgraded HSOT light-scattering polymer light guide plate, which greatly improves the uniformity of the screen light source. What is more worth mentioning is that the size of the light-emitting wafer of the lamp beads has increased from 7×40μm to 9×45μm, and the peak brightness has increased by 18%.
In terms of appearance design, Ocean4 Turbo 2025 continues the ergonomic design of the previous generation Ocean series, adopts a "book spine" body, the thinnest part is about 5.9 mm thick and weighs about 180 grams, which is lighter than a mobile phone (iPhone 16 weighs 170 grams). The four corners adopt a 7mm rounded R angle design, which improves the grip feel and is ergonomic.
In order to solve the common problem of screen afterimage on electronic ink screens, iReader has introduced i-Clean 2.0 refresh technology in this product, which can effectively reduce screen afterimage and improve reading fluency. In addition, the combination of i-Display 2.0+ technology and an independent display chip enables the system to reach a response frequency of 30 frames per second in extreme speed mode, making operation smoother.
In terms of core configuration, the Ocean4 Turbo 2025 is equipped with a 2.0GHz quad-core processor, 4GB of memory and 64GB of internal storage space, ensuring smooth multi-tasking. Built-in 2000 mAh battery provides up to 39 hours of reading time and 16 days of standby time to meet the needs of long-term use.
The Ocean4 Turbo 2025 is priced at RMB 1,599. Interested readers can go to the iReader official Tmall flagship store and JD.com self-operated flagship store to order it.
